These skeatches were created during the course of the "ONNA Speaks" project in Japan in 2022. The drawings are views from the windows of the hotels where I stayed during my three-week trip to Sapporo, Tokyo and Kyoto. Through the drawings, I was able to get into the organic cells of the city, to see it from a different perspective than a tourist who is traveling by foot or by public transportation. At the end of this trip, I came face to face with Japan's amazing nature. The result of this drawing journey is the selpublishing booklet "The Sadness of Japan."
